Annie! Movie Pass Giveaway

Today is “Cyber Monday”, the Monday after “Black Friday” that retailers created to keep making consumers shove out the dough for exceptional deals and bargains, just in time for Christmas! But I have a Cyber Monday deal of my own I’d like to share with you…and it won’t cost you a thing!

Here on My Life With These Kids, I like to do giveaways for moms (and dads too), and especially families so that my readers can get the chance to have some good ol’ fashioned family fun! On behalf of Sony Pictures Entertainment, for my very first family fun promotion I am able to invite 10 families of 4 to check out ANNIE at an advance screening! This means that you will get to see it before it even hits theaters this Christmas…BOOM!

ANNIE is a modern-day musical remake, starring the adorable Academy Award® nominee Quvenzhané Wallis (Beasts of the Southern Wild) as Annie, and Jamie Foxx  as New York mayoral candidate Will Stacks. Annie is a tough cookie, resilient enough to make her own way on the streets of New York in 2014. She was abandoned by her parents with the promise that they’d be back one day, but it’s been a hard knock life (cue Jay-Z, who is also a producer on this film) ever since with her mean foster mom Miss Hannigan played by Cameron Diaz. We can see from the trailer posted below that Foxx’s character develops a soft spot for Annie, and a touching and endearing relationship unfolds between this unlikely pair. I know, aren’t you just itching to see this film on the big screen?! Keep reading, I’ll tell you how you can enter to win to be one of 10 families to see it on Saturday, December 13th at 10am in the Troy, MI area!

Isn’t this new Annie so cute?! To see it early with my family and I, here are the rules!

  1. In the margins of this page, you will see my Facebook page. “Like” it!
  2. If you are not on Facebook, keep up with My Life by subscribing! You will only get emails when I post new blogs…that’s it! No daily emails or spam coming from moi!
  3. And finally, enter to win by commenting and telling me about YOUR FAVORITE FAMILY HOLIDAY TRADITION on this blog post OR on my Facebook Annie giveaway post (look out for it).
  4. You must be in the Metro Detroit area, as the advance screening will take place in Troy, MI.
  5. 10 families will be randomly chosen to receive a family 4-pack of passes. Winners will be notified by email if entry is received on this blog post or via Facebook if entry is received on Facebook by Friday, December 5th, 5:00PM EST.
  6. NO PURCHASE NECESSARY. This is obvious since I have nothing to sell lol.
  7. If you are randomly chosen, advance screening passes will be redeemed on a first-come, first-served basis. The screening is intentionally overbooked to ensure that it is full! This means arrive early to ensure that you will get a seat. If the theater is full, you will not be able to enjoy the film with me:( These passes hold no monetary value.

I can’t wait to hear about all of your fun family holiday traditions! My family and I love to bake cookies on the eve of Thanksgiving and put up all of our Christmas decorations the day after Thanksgiving. Sadly, the latter part has not happened yet…AND my oldest son finished off the last chocolate chip cookie. Tear.

ANNIE,  in theaters Friday December 19th!

I'm married to my first kiss, my first love, my 5th grade sweetheart. I resigned from a fun, sometimes glamorous career in PR where I promoted and marketed major motion pictures for a living to be a stay at home mom! Well, being a stay at home mom was not my first goal when I resigned. I just wanted to do something different, more challenging, and more fulfilling. And God answered that prayer by blessing the hands of my husband so that I can be at home full time for our family. My blog will explore "My Life With These Kids" and all the aspects of "that life" :)

    1. One of our family holiday traditions is cookie making/decorating. The night before Christmas, my baby and I make sugar cookies, chocolate chip w/snickers and peanut butter (for “Santa”) and we decorate them. I usually invite all of the little girls in the family to partake in our festivities as well. Its a fun, messy time and the kids get to create.

    2. Super cool! I shall repost!

Our tradition is to go to the Lions game on Thanksgiving. Just kidding that only happened once, but it was so fun maybe it should be a tradition. Then on the Saturday after Thanksgiving we decorate the house for Christmas! Surprisingly that actually happened this year, but now the house is a mess. Whatever. Another tradition is making gingerbread houses with the kids, we will probably do this once we reach our New York family.

    3. I love this !!!

Our Family tradition is cookie decorating and gingerbread houses on Christmas Eve. We also have a blast at out annual Christmas Eve bash doing Karaoke!!!

    4. This is awesome! Our holiday tradition includes cinnamon rolls, Charlie Brown Christmas movie and putting on the entire “Santa” production from Christmas morning!

    5. Our traditions are sleeping under the Christmas tree and baking cookies, neither of which we did last year but, we did them every year before then!lol And I’ll make the family of 4 thing work!lol Nessa would love to see Annie!

    6. First off…this blog is theebomb.com!!! Secondly, our traditions always involve FOOD! Christmas morning (this will only be our second year)…we will have breakfast and exchange gifts with my good friend’s family in our pajama’s (we live in a flat). Christmas dinner is ALLLWAYSSS pot luck at Granny’s! (My family is pretty big! Most people are shocked by what we eat on Christmas! You name it, we’ve probably had it! Lasagna, corned beef, pasta salad, gumbo, stir fry…the skies the limit! Hahaha…) Then we create a chaotic mess in her living room by letting all of the kids open there gifts together all at once. On New Years Eve, I meet my besties at church with our girls, where we praise the New Year in then return to the selected home for yet another pajama party and breakfast event in the middle of the night. Let the happy times begin!

    7. My favorite family tradition stems from childhood. During the winter months, my mom came up with the idea of going and opening the front door to “get cold” and then dashing back in the house where my sister, mom and I would jump in my mom’s bed and snuggle under the cover to get back warm.

    8. Well….. we’re still working on making new traditions with our Lil ones. One of my faves is making Christmas cookies with my granny’s recipe and press machine. We also seem to procrastinate until the last minute with putting our tree up so I guess that’s a tradition too!!
